Alexis Argüello to host AFECAVOL U19 Boys’ Central American Championship

 

CIUDAD DE MANAGUA, Nicaragua, October 25, 2019. - The Multisport Complex Alexis Argüello of Managua will host the XIII AFECAVOL U19 Boys’ Central American Championship from October 29 to November 2.

 

The Multisport Complex Alexis Argüello has become the home of volleyball while hosting the volleyball women and men tournaments when inaugurated for the tenth Central American Games of Managua 2017 and this year the AFECAVOL U23 Women’s Central American Championship also was held here in June.

 

Six national teams of the Central American region have confirmed to compete, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and host Nicaragua. Costa Rica, won the past edition in 2017 undefeated, will aim to ratify their title and become the most awarded team since the creation of the tournament with a total of six gold medals.

 

The arrival of the AFECAVOL control committee and delegations are scheduled to arrive on Sunday 27, the preliminary inquiry, official training and referee practice will be on Monday 28 and the round-robin competition starts Tuesday 29 with three daily matches.
