Antigua and Grenada reach male ECVA Youth final

 

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, April 19, 2014 -  Host Antigua and Barbuda and Grenada will contest the boys’ final of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Youth Championships on Sunday.

 

Antigua and Barbuda overcame St Lucia 3-2 (25-16, 25-23, 2-25, 20-25, 19-17) in what a battle of epic proportion.

 

Likewise, Grenada rallied back from two sets down to outpoint St Vincent and the Grenadines 3-2 (21-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 15-13), as it  took all of the maximum five sets before  an eventual winners could have been determined.

 

Before setting up the semi-finals with St Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada undid Bermuda 3-0 (25 21, 25-22, 25-17).

 

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda got over French St Martin and this they did in straight sets 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-12).

 

St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines meet in the third place play off, while in the minor places, Bermuda and French St Martin will play for the fifth and sixth spots.
