Players from 14 countries registered for Boca Chica Beach Volleyball


BOCA CHICA, Dominican Republic, April 1, 2010 – Players of fourteen countries are taking part of the Boca Chica Beach Volleyball Tournament, the third leg of the 2010 NORCECA Circuit. The two previous events successfully organized in Cayman Islands and El Salvador.

 

The General Technical Meeting took place Thursday night at Dominican Bay Hotel in the presence of Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, President of NORCECA.

 

Teams of USA and Canada share the lead in the 2010 men’s rankings and Puerto Rico sits atop of the women’s.

 

Canadians Martin Reader and Ray Sewell and Mexicans Aldo Miramontes and Juan Virgen won the first two men’s competitions, while Puerto Ricans Yarleen Santiago and Dariam Acevedo and Americans Claire D’Amore and Jennifer Zinder were the winners among the women.

 

The first matches of Friday features the men’s of Cayman Islands facing Guatemala and the women’s of Trinidad and Tobago playing the team of Cayman Islands.
