Channon Thompson strikes again

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, April 30, 2010 – Channon Thompson continued to pile up points in NORCECA Girls’ Youth Championship as she scored 33 in the straight sets victory of Trinidad & Tobago over Jamaica 25-16, 25-12, 25-10.

Thompson, who scored 46 against Costa Rica and 14 against Mexico, has now 93 points in three matches for an average of 31.0.

“Channon was excellent again but I also gave opportunity to play to some of the non-starters. I think this will help them to improve,” said Macsood Ali, the coach of Trinidad & Tobago.

“It has been a very valuable experience and the girls have enjoyed themselves. We have learned a lot,” said O’Neil Ebanks, the coach of Jamaica.
