BVB Refereeing clinics preparing for CACG in Veracruz

 

VERACRUZ, Mexico, November 24, 2014. - As part of the activities in preparation for the Beach Volleyball double gender tournament at the XXII Central American and Caribbean Games, the Referee Sub-commission programed clinics this Tuesday with the group of International and National BVB referees apportioned in Veracruz.

 

The day began with a morning session with thirteen International Referees who were summited to a medical check-up by FIVB certified Medical Delegate Doctor Raul Medina. They also took a written test, followed by instructions of their duties, obligations and rules of the game.

 

“Among the thirteen International Referees we have four women; the whole group is prepared for the competition and they are with the best intentions to face the weather conditions” indicated FIVB and NORCECA Referee Commission member Jose Ramon Perez Vento.

 

International and National BVB referees, line-men, court personnel and volunteers sustained a practical session at the competition venue Magic Kingdom Park. Several drills were practiced, including match protocol and the use of the score-sheet, with a rehearsal match.

 

Miguel Ramirez and Salvador Bautista are also part of the Sub-commission in charge of referees.
