Belize gets its first victory by beating El Salvador

 

Managua, November 1, 2019.- Belize excitingly achieved its first triumph of the 13th U19 Central American Men's Volleyball Championship by beating 3-2 (17-25, 25-22, 25-27, 25-21, 15- 10) to El Salvador.

 

Guided by Kaelen Ingram with 34 points and 15 from Alan Auil, Belize dominated in attack 62-39 to El Salvador, who were better in blocking 5-3 and service 7-5, but made 37 errors for 53 of their opponents. By El Salvador Cano with 13, Ortiz with 12 and 10 of Yoel Guardado.

 

Anthony Usher, Belize's usher: “We won our first game, that's great, it feels great, it helps us build our confidence. The passes were coming, there was more confidence, this victory means a lot to Belize, which did not win in a long time.

Belize closes its participation before Nicaragua at 6:00 p.m., this Saturday, while El Salvador faces Guatemala at 2:00 p.m.
