Coaches express their aspirations in Final Four

LIMA, Peru, September 6, 2018 - The city of Lima, Peru, will host for the second consecutive time the Final Four U20, a competition that will have its opening day at the Manuel Bonilla Coliseum in Miraflores.

Prior to the beginning of actions in the 'Peruvian volleyball house', the coaches of the participating teams commented on the preparation of their teams and the importance of this competition on the way to their qualification to the U20 World Championship next year.

Coach of Argentina, Guillermo Cáceres: "Our goal is to prepare for the South American that will be here in October, I think the Dominican level is as good as the Brazilian, and Cuba has a game system very similar to Colombia, so I think that will give us a very optimal development to get to fight for the quota to the World Championship."

Coach of Cuba, Tomás Arteaga: "We have a team that we have been working with for ten months, but due to problems with the visa they could not come in. We know the importance of this tournament, that is why we have done everything possible to be here and we trust that it will be a very good base to prepare for next year's Pan American Cup, where we will play our qualification."

Peru coach, Marco Queiroga: "We came from a tour in France that was a great opportunity because it allowed me to work for 13 days with the whole team, and we also recovered some athletes who came from a season with a greater selection and U23, now we are more cohesive as a team for this Final Four, a very high level tournament that will allow us to reinforce our work plan and classify at home for the U20 World Championship next year".

Coach of the Dominican Republic, Wagner Pacheco: "We hope to have a good tournament, we know that Peru has a good preparation base in recent months, but we have a very well-integrated team that although we lost the World Championship qualification with the United States, we continue working very hard aiming to get the classification in the Pan American Cup to be played in August next year."
