SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 3, 2017 – The president of the Commonwealth Games Federation praised NORCECA Confederation and the president of the control committee for their contributions to the success of the beach volleyball competition of the Youth Commonwealth Games held in Bahamas.

Mme. Louise Martin expressed her appreciation to NORCECA Volleyball Confederation for the support received in a letter to Mr. Mushtaque Mohammed, President of the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association, CAZOVA and Control Committee Supervisor of the event that groups the regional members of the commonwealth nations within the confederation.

Mme. Martin expressed gratitude “for everything you have done to deliver a memorable and meaningful Commonwealth Youth Games here in The Bahamas.”

Over 1000 young Commonwealth athletes from 63 countries took part in the multi-sport competition.

“The success and wonderful memories simply would not have been possible without your inclusive leadership, free-spirit of volunteerism and the selfless contribution you have made by planning, managing and delivering your sporting competition,” she stated.

NORCECA Volleyball Confederation provided the necessary supporting personnel, referees, technical assistance and all the beach volleyball equipment needed for the competition.
