Costa Rica strives to beat Belize

 

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, July 16, 2019 - The Costa Rica National Team defeated Belize 3 sets to 0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-21), in the 18th Central American Women's U-20 Championship, which takes place in the Gym # 2 Jorge Galeano of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

 

The Costa Rica team was superior to Belize in the games played on the net (34-25), like the blocking of Costa Rica (8) ended up beating the Belizeans who only managed to block a couple of opportunities. In service they were pretty even, Belize made 8 aces while Costa Rica achieved 6 aces.

 

The setter of the Costa Ricans distributed well the attack of their players, Ana Victoria Rojas made 10 points, Francis Mignucci and Lakisha Thompson made 8 points and Pamela Padilla and Mary Alfaro made another 6. For its part, Belize attacked strongly with Fatoumata Camara with 14 points and Gareth Bruce, who made 11.
