Costa Rican Juan Arrieta takes home MVP Award at U19

 

PANAMA CITY, Panama, October 21, 2017 - Costa Rica captain and middle blocker Juan Arrieta won the Most Valuable Player of the XII Central American U19 Men's Volleyball Championship, where his team was crowned champion after three editons being off the throne.

 

Arrieta won also the recognition for the second best blocker, a position in which the Salvadoran Diego Guidos stood out, who took the other trophy. Guidos was also the top scorer of the tournament, while Panama won the Best Attacker 1 awards with José Vásquez; Best attacker 2, with Denzel Arboine and best setter with Cristian Flores.

 

Costa Rica, the champion, had Jeferson Guzman as Best Opposite, and Nicaraguan libero Jordan Carache won three trophies: Best Defense, Best Receiver and Best Libero.
