Diana Duarte of Brazil named MVP at I Junior Pan American Games

CALI, Colombia, December 5, 2021. - Middle blocker Diana Duarte of Brazil was named the Most Valuable Player of the Women’s Volleyball tournament at the I Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle that concluded on Sunday at the Evangelista Mora Coliseum.

 

Diana received the recognition during the awarding ceremony after Brazil was crowned champion defeating Peru in five sets.

 

Also from Brazil, Jackeline Moreno was awarded as the best setter, Mayara Barcelos Da Silva as the best scorer and Lorrayna Da Silva the best opposite hitter.

 

Karina Olaya of Colombia was the first best spiker. Also from Colombia, Darlevis Mosquera and Valeri Carabali were the first and second best blockers respectively.

 

The best receiver of the tournament went to Agostina Pelozo of Argentina, the best libero to Kiaralis Rodríguez of Puerto Rico and Grecia Castro of Mexico the best server.

 

Dominicans Madeline Guillen and Yaneirys Rodríguez were recognized as second best spiker and best digger respectively.
