Discípulos and Adianez crowned in Puerto Rico

 

TOA BAJA, Puerto Rico, November 15, 2018 – The Academia Discípulos de Cristo of Bayamón added their second title in a row at the National School Volleyball Championship in the Male Senior class.

 

Discípulos defeated Colegio San Benito of Mayaguez 25-15, 26-24. The new monarchs battled a strong resistance from the “mayaguezanos” after cruising in the first set.

 

Jesus Rivera was selected as the most valuable player of the finals.

 

Meanwhile, Colegio Adianez confirmed its quality as one of the pre-tournament favorites by winning the Female Senior category.

 

The institution located in Guaynabo defeated Saint Francis of Carolina in three sets 25-18, 20-25, 15-10.

 

Yemeliz Mojica of Adianez was selected as the most valuable player of the finals.

 

The XVIII National School Volleyball Championship concludes on Friday with the finals in the Junior and Mini divisions.
