Dominican Republic finishes fifth

 

MONTERREY, Mexico, March 25, 2017 – Dominican Republic finished in fifth place after beating Costa Rica in the last day of actions of U19 Boys Pan American Cup.

 

The Dominican team won 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-18) with a solid performance by Bayron Valdez who had another double-digit day with 20 points and Frantony Segura scored 14. For Costa Rica, Mariano Salas Nuñez concluded with 13 units and captain Jose Andres Ortiz Benavides with 9.

 

Dominican Republic overcame Costa Rica un blocks 7-1, a factor that made a difference after two tight sets and a match that lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes.
