Dominicans receive national flag and new uniforms

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 24, 2019 – The members of the Dominican Team participating in the U19 Boys’ Volleyball Pan American Cup received the national flag during a ceremony held on Tuesday.

The ceremony took place at the Instituto de Aguas Potables, a governmental institution supporting the national team.

The national flag was presented by Anibal Portorreal, vice minister of Sports representing the minister Danilo Díaz Vizcaino. It was received by the members of the team accompanied by Alexis García, president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation.

Horacio Mazara, director of the Instituto de Aguas Potables, presented the sets of uniforms to be used by the Dominican team during the event.

The ceremony was attended by Luis Mejia Oviedo, president of the Olympic Committee and COI member, Dr. Milton Ray Guevara, president of the Organizing Committee, and Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the Control Committee and NORCECA Confederation.
