Drawing of Lots for U20 World Championship

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, June 12, 2017 – Defending champions Dominican Republic will play in Pool B alongside the teams of China, Peru and Poland at the FIVB U20 Women’s World Championship to be held in the cities of Cordoba and Boca del Rio, Mexico from July 14 to 23.

The drawing of the lots took place in Lausanne, Switzerland in the presence of representatives of the team delegates.

The Dominican team has been training very hard under the supervision of head coach Wagner Pacheco, who guided them two years ago in Puerto Rico when the Dominican Republic attained its biggest achievement in volleyball history.

Hosts Mexico will compete in Pool A with Bulgaria, Egypt and Russia while vice champions Brazil will play in Pool C with Cuba, Serbia and United States. The teams of Argentina, Italy, Japan and Turkey will play in Pool D.
