El Salvador, USA, Canada in men’s semfinals
POINTE DU-MARIN, Martinique, October 27, 2018 - The trio of El
Salvador, USA and Canada-A all cemented places in the men’s
semifinals in the sixth and final leg of the 2018 NORCECA Beach
Volleyball Circuit.
However, the final qualifier to the last-four will have to be
determined on Sunday morning after bad light forced the
postponement of the match between Canada-B duo, Adam Thompson ad
Ivan Reka and Trinidad and Tobago’s Daneil Williams and Daynte
Stewart, the top seeded pair.
In the three men’s main draw quarterfinals matches that were
completed El Salvadorans, Carlos Escobar and David Vargas
whipped Costa Ricans Sebastian Valenciano and Bryan Monge 21-12,
21-18; USA’s Benjamin Vaught and Travis Mewhitter powered past
St Kitts/Nevis Shawn Seabrooks and St Clair Hodge, 21-9, 21-15
and Puerto Rico’s Cristian Encarnacion and Juan Ribas battled
past Canada-A’s William Hoey and Liam Kopp 21-18, 30-28.
In the semifinals on Sunday, El Salvador meets USA and Puerto
Rico awaits the winner of the T&T/Canada-B clash.
