Five Teams of NORCECA vie for Olympic ticket

UBERLANDIA, Brazil, August 1, 2019 - The Tokyo Volleyball Qualification tournaments begin in Uberlandia when host Brazil take on Cameroon and the Dominican Republic play Azerbaijan in Pool D on Thursday.

Twenty-four women's national teams are in action across six pools from August 1-4 with the pool winners progressing to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

United States, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico are the teams from NORCECA Confederation taking part in the process.

United States welcome Argentina, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan in Pool C, Puerto Rico plays in Poland with Serbia and Thailand in Pool A, while Canada and Mexico join Korea and Russia in Pool E.

Pool D in Brazil is played over three days from August 1-3, while the remaining pools begin on August 2 and are completed on August 3 and 4.

The men's Tokyo Volleyball Qualification tournaments take place the following week from August 9 to 11.
