France improves to 7-2 record

RIMINI, Italy, June 11, 2021 – France defeated Canada 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17) in the third round of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League on Friday.

It is the seventh victory for France against two losses good to share the second place in the standings with Poland. Brazil leads at 8-1.

The French team benefitted from 31 errors committed by the Canadians and also held the advantage in blocks 14-9 and serves 41. The losers led in attacks 52-46.

Kevin Tillie was the top scorer for France with 17 points while Jean Patry and Trevor Clevenot added 13 and 11 points, respectively, in the win.

Eric Loeppky led Canada with 17 points, followed by John Gordon Perrin with 15 and Joseph Sclater with 11 points.
