Iran hold a practice at Mexicali State Auditorium
MEXICALI, Mexico, june 24 2013.— The National team of Iran held
a practice at the State Auditorium in the city of Mexicali on
monday.
Despite the iranians will not play at this venue during the
first round, coach Iraj Mozafari decided to bring his full squad
to recognize the court.
The team worked hard in terms of service, reception and some
tactical plays.
In 2007, Iran arrived to Baja California to play at the Boys’
Youth World Championship and conquered the gold medal by
defeating China.
They want to achieve the same goal with a very powerful unit
with great height conformed by five players who are over two
meters tall.
The practice took almost 90 minutes to return to Tijuana where
Iran will play against Finland, Rwanda, Russia and France in
Pool C.
Iran will play its first match against Finland this thursday at
2:00 PM local time at the Baja California High Performance
Center. |
