Sands of Boqueron warm-up with NORCECA 2010 Tour

 

CABO ROJO, Puerto Rico, July 8, 2010Fifty players from 11 countries will be competing in the sixth stop of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit to be held on the warming sands of Boqueron Beach located in the western part of Puerto Rico, starting on Friday at 9:00 a.m.

 

The women’s action kicks-off with three simultaneous matches between Costa Rica (CRC) and Puerto Rico 2 (PUR 2) in the center court;  Trinidad & Tobago (TTO) vs. Jamaica (JAM) in court No. 2 and México (MEX) vs. Canada 2 (CAN 2) in court No. 3.

 

Then the men will enter the sands with the matches of Guatemala (GUA) vs. Trinidad y Tobago (TTO) in center court, Costa Rica (CRC) vs. Puerto Rico 2 (PUR 2) in court No. 2 and El Salvador (ESA) vs. Estados Unidos 2 (USA 2) in court No. 3.

 

The women’s pair to compete in this stop are: Puerto Rico (Yarleen Santiago/Dariam Acevedo), USA (Tealle Hunkus/Heather Lowe), Guatemala (María Jose Orellana/Lourdes Ramirez), Costa Rica (Cinfy Campos/Laura Alfaro), Canada (Heather Bansley/Elizabeth Maloney), Dominican Republic (Gina Rosario/Ingrid Carmona), Mexico (Vanessa Virgen/Rosario Reyes), Trinidad & Tobago (Nadiege Honore/Ayana Dyette), Jamaica (Chrine Richards/Cheryl Daley), Barbados (Mona Crawford/Anthazia Mason), Canada 2 (Julie Rodrigue/Katherine Zakrzewski), USA 2 (Beth Van Fleet/Kathleen Olvsovsky) and Puerto Rico 2 (Giselle Rabell/Lorimar Rabell).

 

In the men’s division, the participating countries are: USA (Tim Church/Camacho Dana), Canada (Samuel Schachter/Ray Sewell), Puerto Rico (Orlando Irizarry/Roberto Rodriguez), Mexico (Ulises Ontiveros/Lombardo Ontiveros), Dominican Republic (Yewddys Perez/ German Recio), El Salvador (Jeovanny A. Medrano/David G. Vargas), Costa Rica (Jonathan Guevara/Alexander Villegas), Guatemala (Erick Garrido/Julio Recinos), Trinidad & Tobago (Fabien Whitfield/Daniel Williams), Puerto Rico 2 (Luis “Tito” Rodriguez y Angel Ortiz), USA 2 (Marcin Jagoda/Kevin Lynch) and Puerto Rico 3 (Daniel Erazo/Erick Haddock).

 

The sixth stop of the 4th NORCECA Circuit will be played in the new courts of Boqueron Beach, which will be the stage of the Beach Volleyball tournament of the XXI Central American and Caribbean Games.
