Mayor of Santo Domingo supporting Group A Tournament

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 11, 2017 – The Mayor of the National District of Santo Domingo announced the support of the Municipality to the NORCECA Qualification Tournament Group A to take place from October 13 to 15.

David Collado said the Municipality will offer logistic and financial support to the competition offering two tickets to next year’s FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan.

Collado has been invited by the Organizing Committee and the Dominican Volleyball Federation to make the ceremonial first serve before the Saturday match between Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

The Mayor was visited by Angel Rivas, vice president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation and Mario Emilio Guerrero, Commercial Manager of the tournament.

The matches of the Dominican Republic team will be national televised via Telecentro Channel 13, one of the sponsors of the event.

Dominican Republic opens against Guatemala on Friday and will close meeting Puerto Rico on Sunday.
