Mexican Lopez elected MVP of the U23 Cup

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 16, 2021 – Mexico’s Josué de Jesús Lopez was named the Most Valuable Player of the U23 Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup won by his team with a victory over Puerto Rico.r

The ceremony was presided over by Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the Volleyball Pan American Union.

The most awarded individual player in the closing ceremony was Puerto Rico’s Pedro Molina, who was selected best scorer, best server and best receiver.

Mexicans Jorge Hernandez and Lopez were named the best outside hitters while the selected best middle blockers were Dominican Republic’s Dawilin Méndez and Guatemala’s Jason Hernandez.

Panamanian Ruben Deago was the best defender and best libero.

Diego González of Mexico and Guatemalan Daniel Ralon completed the awarded players as best opposite attacker and best setter.
