NORCECA donates 4,000 Molten balls to Ministry of Sports in the Dominican Republic

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, November 24, 2017 – NORCECA Confederation has donated 4,000 Molten volleyballs to the Dominican Ministry of Sports to help the promotion and development of the discipline throughout the country.

 

Danilo Diaz Vizcaíno, minister of sports, received the first part of the donation consisting of 1,000 volleyball in the company of former Dominican star player Milagros Cabral, who is the current director of sports in the National District of Santo Domingo, and Ramón Garcia, president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation.

 

Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, said this donation has the purpose of collaborating with the policy of the Minister of Sports of promoting the practice of volleyball in all the schools of the country.

 

He mentioned the contribution of Molten Corporation, whose president Kyoaki Nishihara immediately took notice of the plans of promoting volleyball in Dominican schools, approved the donation through NORCECA.

 

The minister Díaz Vizcaíno expressed his gratitude to NORCECA and MOLTEN while stating that all these volleyballs will go to the hands of the 1,400 school teachers who have already approved the courses of volleyball organized by the Sports and Physical Culture Institute in collaboration with the National Federation and the NORCECA/FIVB Development Center in Dominican Republic.
