NORCECA promotes Fair Play

 

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, August 25, 2018.- The President of the North, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA), Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, provided anti-doping test kits to the Medical Delegate of the NORCECA Women's Continental Championship U18, doctor Juan Carlos Rodas.

 

Keeping up the commitment of the NORCECA Confederation to promote fair play in all its tournaments, Marte Hoffiz delivered the sets of anti-doping tests to Rodas, to be utilized in the tournament that begins on Monday.

 

"Last year there were more than 200 anti-doping tests in all the international volleyball and beach volleyball tournaments. It is important to instill and begin the practice of fair play from these categories", said Marte Hoffiz.

 

Dr. Rodas said that "it is a great effort that NORCECA makes when trying to maintain Fair Play by guaranteeing anti-doping tests in all its events."

 

"This championship is the beginning of the sporting career of many girls and it is importance to promote and ensure fair play, following the objectives of NORCECA," said Rodas.

 

In the tournament U18 Honduras, United States, Barbados, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba, are looking for two places in the World Championship.
