Nothing defined in U21 men's tournament

PUERTO CORTÉS, Honduras, November 2, 2018 - The first day of the XI Central American Sub-21 Beach Volleyball Championship left only questions in the two groups, as none of the couples was able to secure their semi-final classification.

Wagner Chacón and Edgard Maldonado, from Guatemala, started with two wins in Group A with wins 2-0 (23-21, 21-14) over Adonis Rodríguez / Irvin Reyes (HON 1) and 2-0 (21-13, 21-12) against Yoel / Diego Guardado (ESA 1).

Allan Obando / Andrés Valenciano (CRC 2) also added double victories, winning 2-1 (14-21, 21-19, 15-12) to El Salvador 1 and closing with a 2-0 victory (21-15, 21- 17) on Cristofer Cascante / Sergio Cordero (NCA 2).

Cascante / Cordero (NCA 2) also got two wins. First 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) against Honduras 1 and then 2-1 (21-23, 21-12, 15-11) against the Guardado brothers, from El Salvador.

Meanwhile, in Group B, Denis Lopez / Jefferson Cascante (NCA 1) won 2-0 (21-17, 21-19) to Criforth Fallas and Alexandre Lezcano (CRC 1), who had previously won with double 21- 14 to Diego Ascencio / Rolando Ávalos (ESA 2).

Joseph Carnegie and Aldair Peña, of Belize, won 2-0 (21-17, 21-18) to El Salvador 2 (Diego Ascencio / Rolando Ávalos).

And Honduras pair 2, Kenny Fernandez / Kevin Herrera, also achieved a 2-0 victory (21-17, 21-19) over Belize.
