Official presentation Fifth Stage NORCECA BVB in La Paz

LA PAZ, México, 6 de junio de 2019.- The organizing committee of the fifth stage of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour hosted for the fourth consecutive year in La Paz, Baja California, made the official announcement of the event that starts on Friday with twenty five teams representing twelve countries.

The general director of the Sports Institute of Baja California Sur, José Ávila Geraldo, said

“it’s taken great effort to reach all the requirements for this highly-competitive event, mostly, to please the more than 3,000 spectators to support the matches staged in the two courts at Playa del Malecón en La Paz”.

Nubia Estella Barranza Anaya, president of the Baja California Sur Volleyball Association, invited all the fans to support this spectacular event and thanked the Mexican Volleyball Federation and NORCECA for trusting La Paz as hosts. 

Daymian Stewart, Competition Director on behalf of NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz thanked the organizing committee to bring the Beach Tour once again to La Paz; stating that the event grants valuable ranking points for th Olympic cycle events, “our prestigious NORCECA Tour is the most important beach volleyball tournament of our Confederation, a qualifier for World Championships and Olympics”.

Mexican player Stephanie Burnside said “this is the third time I come to La Paz; it’s an honor to be in front of such a warm audience, who supports us all the time and makes us feel at home, it’s a beautiful venue, one of the country’s best”.

Alos, Lolette Rodríguez of Nicaragua commented “I am pleased to be here in La Paz once again, there is always high expectations, this is an amazing venue set by the organizers, the fans here a great”.

The competition will be held from June 7-10, starting at noon and will be televised by a local tv station.
