Olympians Cope and Alfaro to play at Ocho Rios

OCHO RIOS, Jamaica, June 13, 2017 – Costa Rican Olympians Karen Cope and Natalia Alfaro who made history last year when they qualified to the Rio de Janeiro Games through the NORCECA Continental Cup are among the teams to participate at Ocho Rios Beach Volleyball Tournament, the third stop of the 2017 Circuit from June 22 to 26.

Fans can follow all the exciting action of the tournament on video streaming for only US$8.00 on NORCECA TV.

The USA team of Betsi Flint and Kelley Larsen and Canada’s Jamie Broder and Caleigh Whitaker, bronze medalists at La Paz, Mexico and Cayman Islands, respectively, in the first two events of the year are also registered to take part.

Cuba’s Lianma Flores and Yanisleidis Sánchez are also a team to be reckoned with as Flores has won two NORCECA tournaments under her belt alongside Leila Martinez at home in Varadero in 2014 and last year at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, Sanchez teamed up with Lidiannis Echeverría to win the Varadero’ leg in 2016.
