Second crown in a row for Cubans Sergio and Nivaldo

 

   

LA PAZ, Mexico, April, 10, 2016 - Cubans Sergio Gonzalez and Nivaldo Diaz claimed their second crown in a row at the Norceca Beach Volleyball Circuit, after winning the last stop at the Harborside Kiosk Beach in La Paz, Mexico.

 

The duo coached by Leonides Regueiferos defeated Stafford Slick and William Allen of USA-B  by scores of 21-15 and 21-15 to win the first place after three days of intensive competition.

 

“We look forward to prepare at these stages in order to be in solid shape to the Final Olympic Qualifier. There is enough time for Cuba and we will do our best to keep on winning for our country,” said Gonzalez.

 

“We loved the support of the fans here in La Paz, this has been awesome”, Díaz remarked.

 

In the Bronze Medal match, Taylor and Trevor Crabb of USA-A defeated CAN-B composed by Cameron Wheelan and Michael Plantinga in Sudden Death by scores of 22-24, 22-20 and 15-9 ina resilient performance by the American brothers.
