Sitting volleyball seminar to take part in Tijuana

 

   

TIJUANA, Mexico, November 24, 2015 - The FIVB-NORCECA Regional Development Center located Baja California, will host a new course by the beginning of December.

 

This time, the seminar will focus in the modality of sitting volleyball. The instructor assigned to this course-seminar is Bill Hamiter, who has served as head coach of the sitting volleyball teams of the United States.

 

Hamiter will be in Tijuana from December 3 to 7 and more than 30 persons are expected to attend.

 

In 2015 the regional development center in Baja California has hosted several courses and seminars. Among them there was a workshop last January with the presence of the American Olympic champion Pat Powers in the context of the of the NORCECA Confederation yearly meetings, which took place in Tijuana. Another seminar was held in March and was directed to beach volleyball coaches. This theoretical and practical seminar was led by Venezuelan instructor, Mauro Hernandez.

 

Also in May 2015, the third seminar took place in Tijuana and it was for Level I Coaches, directed by prominent Cuban instructor Argelio Hernandez. Meanwhile, the last one was recently in October, when the Level II course was held, with the presence of the legendary Olympic medalist Jorge Perez Vento from Cuba (now living in Puerto Rico) and Brazilian coach Antonio Rizola Neto, who has been the architect of the success achieved by the youth and junior female teams of the South American country.
