winning team had more work in the blocking fundament (12-9),

Puerto Rico managed to take
the victory despite giving 40 points in unforced errors,
compared to only 27 from Chile.
Sofía Victoriá, captain of
Puerto Rico: Chile is a team with more experience, on our side
there are many young girls, who are taking a very important
lesson from this tournament ahead of our participation in the
U18 Pan American Cup in Mexico.
Gracelyn Carvacho, Chile's top
scorer: Puerto Rico had a very aggressive serve, it complicated
us a lot in the service. Although we did not win, I think we did
a good job as a team, we fought hard and that is what we must
continue to do, fight in each match to obtain the best position
in this Cup.
Chile finished the Group Stage
with 2 points accumulated in Pool A. Puerto Rico has yet to play
a final game of the first stage on Wednesday 15 at 5:00 pm
against the Dominican Republic.
