T&T outlast Barbados 3-2 in CAZOVA Under-18

 

SPANISH TOWN, Jamaica, July 24, 2019 - Trinidad and Tobago came out the better of a grueling classic five-setter as they defeated Barbados 3-2 in the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association girls' Under-18 tournament at GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport on Wednesday.

 

It was the second five-set match of the tournament for Trinidad and Tobago but this time they were the victors as overcame the tough Bajans 25-18, 16-25, 15-25, 25-19, 15-11. On Tuesday, Trinidad and Tobago lost to Guadeloupe 3-2 (24-26, 20-25, 27-25, 25-22, 15-13).

 

Barbados won their opening match 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-4) against Guadeloupe on Monday.

 

Trinidad and Tobago's coach, Sean Morrison said, "we did the job today as the plan that we had, we stuck to it. Once we played together it made the game easy.

 

"In the game against Guadeloupe, they dropped their heads too early. I said to them 'no matter what the score is, just keep playing together, enjoy the game and we will get the desired outcome'," Morrison said.
