Tamara Espinoza of Costa Rica selected MVP

at AFECAVOL Girls’ U-18 Championship

 

   

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, August 22, 2015.- Capitan Tamara Espinoza of Costa Rica was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the XI Girls’ U-18 AFECAVOL Central American Championship on Saturday night at the Eddy Cortes National Gymnasium of San Jose.

 

Espinoza was awarded as the Most Valuable Player and 1st Best Spiker at the awarding ceremony presided by Edgar Alvarado Ardon, president of the Costa Rican National Federation and members of his Executive Committee.

 

Also from Costa Rica, libero Maria Jose was awarded as the Best Receiver and Best Defense. Her teammate Isla Johnson received the award of Best Opposite.

 

Guatemala received three individual awards: Daniela Tornoe as Best Blocker, Carmen Gomez as Best Setter and Blanca Jeronimo as Best Libero.

 

Gabriela Funes of El Salvador was granted the awards of Best Server and Best Scorer of the tournament.

 

Dalia Conto of Nicaragua was the 2nd Best Blocker and Kori Diego of Belize the 2nd Best Spiker.
