The State Auditorium of Mexicali will be hosting venue for one part of the FIVB Boys' U19 World Championship

Mexicali, Mexico, June 25 2013 - The local organising committee of the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship in Mexicali gave the final touches to the organisation process of staging the event to take place at the State Auditorium as the official venue.

The court was pronounced in good condition following the preliminary inspection made by the Control Committee members as they also did with the medical and referees rooms, the working press area as well locker rooms and the FIVB working area.

Mexicali, and the State Auditorium, hosted the finals of the 2009 FIVB Women’s Junior World Championship and the local staff has a very good idea about how to deal with this kind of event.

The theoretical and practical clinic was supervised by the Referee Delegate Guy Bradbury who, along with Abdelmajid Kilani Djerad, assisted the local staff with the instructions of the flag bearers, moppers, ball retrievers and quick cleaners.

“There are some details that need to be completed but I am pretty sure everything will be ready on Wednesday,” said Peruvian Juan Castro, in charge of the Mexicali venue. “After all the banners are posted the Auditorium will look at its best.”

On Tuesday morning, the Control Committee in Mexicali concluded the preliminary inquiry of teams Chile, Japan and South Korea. Still pending to pass this first inspection in Mexicali are the teams of Brazil, Algeria and Turkey while in Tijuana still to being inspected are Rwanda and Poland.
