Viva to sponsor NORCECA Group A in Santo Domingo

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, October 5, 2017 – Viva Communications will sponsor the NORCECA Continental Championship Group A in Santo Domingo from October 13 to 15, a qualification event offering two tickets to the FIVB Women’s World Championship 2018 in Japan.

 

The four-team competition officially named “Viva Cup” includes the representatives of Jamaica, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.

 

The announcement was made by Marco Herrera Beato, president of Viva, in a ceremony attended by Ramón García, president of the Dominican Federation, Luis Mejía Oviedo, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, and Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA Confederation.

 

“Once again is of great pride that we announce for second year in a row the sponsorship of a volleyball tournament”, Herrera said. “In Viva we believe in the great values promoted by this discipline that promotes unity among the Dominican family.”

 

Herrera Beato also announced the installation of a full equipped Press Center to offer the media all the facilities to cover the matches to be national televised via Telecentro Channel 13.

 

Last year, Viva Communications was among the sponsors of the Women’s Pan American Cup in Santo Domingo.

 

The players of the Dominican women’s team were introduced and Marte Hoffiz, who explained the technical details of the competition, received the official cup to be presented to the winners of the tournament.
