Volleyball Symposium to be organized in Cuba
HAVANA, Cuba, April 7, 2014 – The Physical Culture Faculty of
the Manuel Fajardo Studies Center of Sports, Physical Education
and Recreation in Santiago de Cuba is hosting its VII Volleyball
Symposium from May 14-16.
The event, which is organized under the auspices of the hosting
institution, the Cuban Volleyball Federation, Cuba-Deportes SA
and the Provincial Sports Direction of Santiago de Cuba, has the
purpose of promoting the exchange, promotion and diffusion of
experiences as well as the socialization of investigations and
research in areas of the high performance and professional
formation.
The Symposium is intended for professors, investigators, college
students, high school graduates, managers, organizations and
institutions from all over the world.
The topics include diagnosis and treatment of physical and
psychological traumas in the sport of volleyball at high level,
Theoretical and methods of training, selection of talents for
volleyball, Formation of the professional for basic volleyball
and high performance volleyball, Didactics of Volleyball as part
of the Physical Education and Training of Volleyball for
Disabled, among others.
During the Symposium the following workshops are to be
organized:
Therapeutic Physical Culture covering such items like
Environmental Culture: Physical Activity and Sports, Sports and
Quality Life and Post Sports Health.
Psychology of Sports based on Psycho-Social Factors in the
Practice of Sports and the Role of the Technique of Information
and Communication in the Sports Intelligence.
Gender, Family and Sports covering Sports and Physical
Activities for Senior People and Gender and Sports: Leisure time
and Recreation.
