Well fought Honduran victory

 

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, July 18, 2019 - Honduras defeated El Salvador 3-1 (25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 25-23) while maintaining its undefeated record in the 18th Central American Women's U-20 Championship, which takes place in the Gym # 2 Jorge Galeano of the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

 

Nathalie Pérez scored 33 points for the Honduran women, being the best scorer of the match and for the tournament. The Salvadoran Danielas, Sanchez and Lopez, made 40% of the points for their selection, Sanchez made 18 and Lopez 16.

 

Honduras dominated in attacks with a 55-40 advantage, and in blocks 9-5. In the service, Honduras made 8 aces, three of them by Isabella Rosa, and El Salvador made 5 aces, three by Daniela Sánchez and the other two by Jennifer Durán.

 

With this victory, Honduras falls to second place in the standings, with 3 wins without defeats, surpassed by Guatemala with the same number of wins and losses, but more points scored. Then follows Costa Rica, El Salvador and Belize with 1 win and 2 losses, and Nicaragua is left alone in last place with 3 losses.
