St. Kitts & Nevis win Women’s Group D

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, July 28, 2012 - Team St. Kitts & Nevis kept a perfect record throughout the entire 2014 FIVB world championship qualification women Round I Group D when they disposed of Anguilla 3-0 (25-11, 25-18 and 25-11) in the finals to top the group. Bermuda outlasts St. Maarten for first victory

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, July 27, 2012 – Bermuda won in straight sets (25-22, 25 21, 25-20) over St. Maarten in game 3 of the 2014 FIVB World Championship qualification women Round I Group D. The three sets were similar in pattern as Bermuda enjoyed an early lead while St. Maarten worked their way back midway through the game only to lose in the end. The second game was particularly close as St. Maarten, who trailed 1-6, rallied to lead at 18 -17. More

Confidence and anxiety run high on the eve of Qualifier

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, July 26, 2012 – The majority of the teams participating in 2014 FIVB world championship qualification women Round I Group D exuded an air of confidence on the eve of the tournament. Coach Steadroy Collins of team St. Kitts/Nevis averred that they would deliver on a promise to win the group. “The ladies are confident I wouldn’t say super confident but very confident that we can win this tournament.
