Guatemalan Flores cops Pool M “MVP” award
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, June 16, 2013 - Jeyson Nery Flores of
Guatemala was named the “Most Valuable Player” of Pool M after
leading his team to the gold medal of the NORCECA Group M of

Guatemala cools Suriname for Pool M gold
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, June 16, 2013 - Jeyson Flores and
captain Oscar Daniel Garcia led a short-handed but balanced
Guatemala attack to a hard fought 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 24-26,
25-21) triumph over hosts Suriname to take the gold medal of
the NORCECA Second Round Group M of Men’s Qualifiers.

Martinique blanks Anguilla 3-0 again, take Pool M bronze
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, June 16, 2013 - Martinique registered a
second straight 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-16) defeat of Anguilla to
take the bronze medal in the NORCECA Second Round Group M
Tournament towards the 2014 FIVB World Volleyball Championship
in Poland. Leading the way for Martinique which dominated on
spikes 25-19, blocks 6-5 and service aces, 9-0 was Edouard
Lowinsky with 14 points, while Brice Hardy-Dessources got 10,
with three service aces and two blocks.

Guatemala outplays Suriname..set up gold medal meeting

Daniel Garcia led three players in double-figure scoring as
Guatemala put on its best performance in three matches, beating
host Suriname 25-17, 25-18, 25-23 to reach the gold medal match

Martinique battles past Guatemala in three sets
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, June 15, 2013 - Rodrigue Larcher and
Gregory Alpha combined for 34 points as Martinique overcame a
tough test from Guatemala 3-0 (25-20, 31-29, 25-22) in their
opening match of the second round NORCECA Men’s Group M
qualifiers to the 2014 FIVB World Volleyball Championship in
Poland.
Larcher ended with a match-high 19 points which was comprised of
16 spikes, two service aces and one block while Alpha had 14
spikes.

Suriname makes winning start to Group M qualifiers
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, June 15, 2013 - Antoine Verny Vliet was
the lone player to score in double-figures as hosts Suriname
swept past Anguilla 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-13) in the opener of
the NORCECA Second Round Men’s Group M Tournament of the 2014
FIVB World Volleyball Championship in Poland. Vliet tallied ten
points, inclusive of nine spikes while captain Roberto Frits.

Suriname to host NORCECA Men’s Group M
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, June 14, 2013 – The NORCECA second
round of tournaments towards the 2014 FIVB Men’s World
Championship in Poland continue this weekend at the Ismay
vam Wilgen Sport Hall of Paramaribo with the Group M
four-team competition.
Teams of Suriname and Guatemala, winners of last year’s
first round tournaments in Groups E and H, respectively, are
joined by squads from Martinique and Guadeloupe for the
weekend event.
Teams will battle for one spot to next year’s third and
final round of qualifiers. More
