High expectations for top contenders at Women’s continental
cup
SAN CARLOS, Nuevo Guaymas, Mexico, June 24, 2016 – The
Women’s competition at the Beach Volleyball Continental Cup
has raised high expectations as the semifinals take place on
Saturday at Algodones Beach.
Cuba and Mexico, because its
condition of host country, march as favorites to advance to
the final battle for the Olympic ticket. However, nothing
has been written yet. Guatemala and Costa Rica have also
shown.

Semifinals ready for Men’s Continental Cup
SAN CARLOS, Nuevo Guaymas, Mexico, June 24, 2016
– Canada will match Puerto Rico, while Mexico will face Cuba on
Saturday to define the countries that will contend for a ticket
to the Olympic Games of Rio 2016 at Men’s continental Cup. The second day of actions at the venue located by
the Algodones Beach, the classification rounds for fifth to
eighth places took part with some matches like the victories
gotten.

Cuba defeats Antigua and Barbuda
HAVANA, Cuba, June 24, 2016 – The Cuban team made its debut
overpowering Antigua and Barbuda in three straight sets
(25-8, 25-7, 25-19) in the second match of the B Pool in the
NORCECA Boys U-19 Volleyball Championship which takes place
in the Sports City Coliseum. The host team showed
better fitness and technical level the reason they are
considered, jointly with the USA team, clear favourite
squads to go tothe final match as happened in 2014 when they
were defeated by United States.

United States overcome combative Nicaragua
Havana, Cuba, June, 24, 2016 – Defending champions United Sates
overcame Nicaragua 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-23) in the second match
on opening day of the NORCECA Boys U19 Championship which is

Despite the American team being a top contender for the gold
medal and one of the winners of the two tickets available to the
World Championship to be held in 2017.
