Jair
Santiago Named MVP of the 2026 NORCECA Men's Final Four
LEÓN,
Guanajuato, Mexico, June 14, 2026. – Puerto Rico's Jair Santiago, a
key figure in his team's third consecutive championship, was named
the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2026 NORCECA Men's Final Four,
headlining the tournament's individual awards. Puerto Rico, which
completed a perfect campaign to successfully defend the titles they
won in 2024 and 2025, dominated the individual honors. In addition
to the MVP award, Santiago was also recognized as the tournament's
Best Server, while Daniel Henwood was named Best Setter, Arnel
Cabrera earned Best Libero honors, and Klistan Lawrence was selected
as Best Receiver. The Dominican Republic was also well represented
through Hector Cruz, who collected the awards for First Best Spiker
and Best Scorer, as well as Moisés Ortíz, who was recognized as the
Second Best Blocker.

Rico Claims Third Straight NORCECA Men’s Final Four Title
LEÓN,
Guanajuato, Mexico, June 14, 2026. – Defending champion Puerto Rico
captured its third consecutive NORCECA Men’s Final Four title by
defeating host Mexico in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-23),
in the tournament’s closing day at the Domo de la Feria in León,
Guanajuato. The Puerto Rican squad completed a perfect campaign to
earn its third consecutive gold medal, following the titles won in
2024 and 2025, reaffirming its dominance in the competition. With
the championship, Puerto Rico finished the tournament undefeated.
Mexico, meanwhile, claimed the silver medal for the second
consecutive edition, once again reaching the final against Puerto
Rico and falling just short of the title.

Guatemala Stages Reverse Sweep to Win Historic Bronze at the NORCECA

Guanajuato, Mexico, June 14, 2026. – Guatemala staged a spectacular
comeback to defeat the Dominican Republic 3-2 (27-29, 19-25, 30-28,
25-22, 15-11) and capture a historic bronze medal at the 2026
NORCECA Men’s Final Four, held at the Domo de la Feria in León,
Guanajuato. The Guatemalan squad reached the podium of the NORCECA
Men’s Final Four for the first time in its history after recovering
from a two-set deficit against a Dominican Republic team that
concluded the tournament with three losses, all in dramatic five-set
matches. Opposite hitter Andy Leonardo was the key figure in the
victory, leading Guatemala with 30 points. Team captain Carlos López
added 21 points, while Javier Lucero contributed 13.

tournament champion, the event is part of the qualification pathway
for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games. Dominican Republic head coach,
Venezuelan Alexander Gutiérrez, said the tournament will help
continue the development of a program that has significantly
strengthened its roster depth.

de la Feria in León Ready to Host the 2026 NORCECA Men's Final Four

welcome the 2026 NORCECA Men's Final Four, one of the
Confederation's premier annual events, bringing together four
national teams from June 12 to 14 at the Domo de la Feria. Host
nation Mexico will be joined by defending two-time champion Puerto
Rico, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. The event features the top
four teams in the NORCECA Ranking that are not currently qualified
for the Volleyball Nations League (VNL), guaranteeing a highly
competitive tournament with important continental and world ranking
