PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, April 10, 2010 –
Mr. Jizhong Wei, President of the International
Volleyball Federation (FIVB), arrived in Punta
Cana Airport accompanied by his wife and several
executives of the organization.
Mr. Wei was received at the terminal by Mr.
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, FIVB First Executive
Vice President and President of the North,
Central American and Caribbean Confederation (NORCECA).
Mr. Wei is in Dominican Republic to preside the
meetings of the Executive Committee and Board of
Administration to be held through April 12-16.
Among the FIVB executives who arrived on
Saturday afternoon included Dr. Saleh Ahmed Bin
Nasser, President of the Asian Volleyball
Confederation (AVC) and Mr. Andre Meyer,
President of the European Volleyball
Confederation (CEV).
Also, Mr. Theofanis Tsiokris FIVB Second
Executive Vice President and Aleksandar Boricic,
FIVB Executive Vice President.
