GUADALAJARA, Jalisco, August 28, 2009.- The four
candidates to compete for the couple of tickets
toward the 2010 Men’s Volleyball Championship,
Canada, Dominican Republic, Panama and Mexico,
have already trained in the official court where
the NORCECA Playoff Pool I will take place on
August 28-30, the same one that will be the site
of the discipline during the 2011 Pan American
Games.
“Everybody was satisfied with the quality of the
facility, which is in excellent conditions and
only needs the necessary adjustments because is
brand new and to adequate it to the requirements
for a tournament of this type, of world class,
and also for the 2011 Pan American Games.”
That was the opinion of Nelson Ramirez,
technical director of NORCECA, who added that
“it complies with the expectations, the facility
has the dressing rooms, area for the media,
medical services and referees, three warm-up
courts, something very important, and all the
needs for the informative system, a good
supporting personnel and the indispensable
sports equipments.”
He underlined the great interest of the
organizing committee about the multiple Pan
American competition in 2011 as well as from the
press. “Everybody is aiming toward perfection
and they are taking this Playoff as a rehearsal
test, with accreditations, transportation,
reception, attaches and several services
received by the teams and the rest of
personnel.”
“We are before a great event, and NORCECA and
FIVB are confident that everything will result
as planned,” said Ramirez, who inspected the
Volleyball complex in the company of Valentin
Yanes, deputy technical director of the 2011 Pan
Americans and other members of COPAG and the
State Sports Council (CODE).
