SAN SALVADOR, July 3, 2008.- Cuba advanced to the semi final round with a confortable 3-0 victory over host El Salvador in the U-21 Men’s Volleyball Continental Championship.

The sets finished 25-12, 25-10, 25-9 in a match that lasted less than one tour and where Cuban Fernando Hernandez was the only in double figures with 10 tallies.

The Cuban coach was using all his players with the double purpose of giving playing time to the bench and saving the energy of the regulars for the semi final phase.

El Salvador ended its participation with a 0-3 mark in the preliminary round and now will meet Puerto Rico which had similar record in Pool A.

Raul Trujillo had five points for the Salvadorians.
