MEXICALI, Baja California, June 5, 2008.- Cuba qualified in the eleventh position of the Women’s Pan American Cup after defeating Trinidad & Tobago in straight sets by score of 25-14, 25-12, 25-14.

The blocking of Cuba was the key for the victory as they scored 12 points defending the net against 3 of their opponents.

Yohana Palacios led Cuba with 13 points, Gyselle Silva added 8 and Liannes Castaneda and Yusleini Herrera each had 6. Malika Charles had 6 for Trinidad & Tobago.
