Argentina won for second time in 16 hours
COLIMA, Mexico, June 23, 2007.- Argentina got its second win in
less than 16 hours by defeating Trinidad & Tobago 25-10, 25-11,
25-12 in just 58 minutes. They had beat Mexico in the last match
of Friday night.
The Argentineans only need one victory on Sunday against Costa
Rica to secure a third place in Pool A and also a ticket to the
next round. The Trinidadians fell to 0-3.
Vanina Domke and Leticia Boscacci paced Argentina with 11 points
apiece and Yamila Nizetich had 9.
“We are happy with the result but tomorrow is a very important
match for us,” said Carlos DiLonardo, the coach of Argentina. “We
are not taking lightly our opponents and need to go strong against
Costa Rica.”
“We are a very young team and the experience is very important to
develop,” said Trinidadian Reeza Gramt. “That is the reason we are
here, to get experience and learn from others.”
