an 8-4 margin.
“Mexico is a good team and played hard
tonight,” U.S. Head Coach Hugh McCutcheon said.
“They present some challenges for us an made us
adjust and we were able to accomplish that.”
“Mexico dug a lot of balls and touched a lot of
other balls off the block and made us adjust,”
Scott-Arruda said. “It is good to know that we
can play in a variety of ways and win.”
“We are not happy with the result, but we made
a good match in playing one of the top teams in
the world,” Mexico Head Coach Samuel Cibrian
said. “I congratulate the USA team. We have a
lot of younger players, and we have improved
from the other days. We have two matches left in
pool play, and we want to win those next two
matches for a good position in the
classification round.”
