El Salvador beats Jamaica for ninth place
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 1, 2010 – El
Salvador defeated Jamaica 3-0 (25-13, 25-9,
25-10) in the match for ninth place of the
NORCECA Girls’ Youth Continental Championship.
The action lasted 57 minutes.
The Salvadorans, smaller than their opponents
but with better execution, totaled 10 service
winners against only 3 from the Jamaica side.
Andrea Manzur, captain of the winning side, was
the top scorer of the match with 11 points and
Gabriela Soriano contributed 5 tallies including
three serving aces. Tiffany Clark scored nine
points for the losers.
