                                SANTO DOMINGO, September 3, 2006 — The FIVB 
                                Development Center in Santo Domingo, Dominican 
                                Republic held an opening ceremony yesterday to 
                                officially start a Level I Coaching Course for 
                                27 participants.    
                                
                                Attending the ceremony were FIVB First Executive 
                                Vice President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, FIVB 
                                Director Carlos Diaz Bancalari and the center’s 
                                director, Mr. Nelson Ramirez, together with 
                                other invited officials.   
                                
                                “We are very satisfied with the high amount of 
                                interest shown in the course from around the 
                                region,” Mr. Ramirez said.   
                                
                                The 27 participants come from all over the 
                                NORCECA zone and South America, including 
                                Grenada, Puerto Rico, Montserrat, Peru, 
                                Nicaragua, St. Martin, St. Vincent, Belize, 
                                Trinidad & Tobago, Haiti, Netherlands Antilles, 
                                Guatemala, Bahamas and El Salvador.    
                                
                                Experienced FIVB Instructor Justo Morales of 
                                Cuba, whose work as house instructor at the 
                                Development Center in Santa Domingo is covered 
                                by the FIVB, will be teaching the course, which 
                                will finish on September 13.   |
