AFECAVOL takes important decisions

It is important to point out that among the main decisions taken was the approval of the competition calendar for the period 2006-2010 with the assignment of the national federations that will be hosting the major cups and the junior and youth championships, and thus allowing the countries the chance for a better planning of those events.

It was agree to convoke for the first Central American mini-volleyball camp with the objective of promoting in each one of the countries the sport initiation in volleyball at an early age and the exchange of social, cultural and sports experiences between the children under 12 years-old.

The responsible federations have confirmed and informed about the advances in the organization of the Beach Volleyball Championships in Belize, the Women’s Senior Cup in Costa Rica and the Men’s Senior Cup in Panama, being the last two qualifiers for the 2007 NORCECA Seniors Championships.

With the support from FIVB and NORCECA it was approved the working schedule to be followed by Cuban instructor Gilberto Herrera with the coaches of the national teams from each federation. The tour is expected to be started in Central American soil during the month of February, covering seven weeks of intensive work.
