SAN
JUAN, Puerto Rico, October 11,
2005.-
Even thought
the Puerto Rican Volleyball
Federation is supporting one-hundred
percent Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz
as President of the North, Central
American and Caribbean Volleyball
Confederation, it does not rule out
the possibility of Carlos J. Beltran
for the Vice Presidency.
Beltran will be one of the
federations’ leaders and directors
of Norceca who will be attending the
XVIII Norceca Congress to be held on
October 21-23 in Punta Cana,
Dominican Republic.
Elections of new authorities of
Norceca for the period 2005-2009
will take place during the
Congress.
Beltran is one of the candidates
presented by the FPV for several
positions in Norceca.
“What we want is Puerto Rico to be
represented in all the groups,” said
the President of the FPV.
“And what about the Presidency?” he
was questioned. “I don’t think so.
Cristobal Marte must remain there,
but I don’t know if they have any
plan with me for the vice
presidency. If that is the case, I
would be willing to,” he said.
“I am always willing to help the
National Teams, as long as it does
not affect my work in the FPV,
because my first mission is the
national tournaments and the
national teams,” said the lawyer and
professor. “I will be always in the
position to collaborate, to help
volleyball.”
Beltran will do the trip to
Dominican Republic on October 20
along with Mr. Ramon Luis
Carrasquillo, Executive Director of
the FPV.
Mexican Dr. Ruben Acosta Hernandez,
President of the Federation
Internazionale de Volleball, will
attend the Congress.
